James “Steve” Steven Yeatts, Jr., 54, of Afton, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. He was the son of James “Jimmy” Yeatts, Sr. and Hollis Yeatts of Goode.
Born on August 19, 1960, Steve worked in medical transport for the Mayo Clinic.
In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his two sons, James Steven “Stevie” Yeatts, III and Peyton Yeatts, both of Lynchburg; fiancée, Cindy Davis and her daughter, Lisa Cash, and granddaughter Racheal of Afton; two sisters, Debra Emmerson and her husband, Tim of Madison Heights, and Vickie Yeatts of Goode; a brother, Timothy Blake Yeatts and his wife, Nichole of Forest; three nephews, Daniel Lee and Travis Emmerson, both of Madison Heights, and Ryder Yeatts of Forest; two nieces, Courtney Emmerson of Madison Heights and Blakeleigh Yeatts of Forest; and a great-nephew, Gavin Creasy of Madison Heights.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A service will follow at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. H. O. Tom Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
