James Stuart Womack, III went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, September 19, 2014. Jimmy was born to Nancy Wilson Womack and James Stuart Womack, Jr. on January 10, 1941, in Lynchburg, VA.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of forty-four years, Carleen G. Womack as well as his four children: James Stuart Womack IV of Lynchburg, Serena Womack of Concord, Daniel Womack (Melissa) of Gladys and Duke Womack of Rustburg. Jimmy also leaves behind his brother Alvin (Gale) Womack; six grandchildren: Ashley, James, Dylan, B.J., Wendy, and Amanda; five great-grandchildren: Brealyn, Lillyona, Aiden, Kaydrean, and Cyndal; as well as many other family members and friends.
Jimmy was a veteran of the US Army and loved to hunt, fish and golf. He also spent many years cutting fire wood. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to Seven Hills Hospice, 2250 Murrell Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501, and would like to thank them for the care they gave to him towards the end of his illness.
