James Wesley Weston, 77, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, July 26, 2014 in Michigan. He was the loving husband of Linda L. Weston for 53 years.
Born November 18, 1936 in Peck, Michigan, James was a son of the late Hazel Eveleigh Weston and the late Kenneth Otto Weston.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his sons: Michael Weston and loyal daughter in-law Gail, and Shannon Weston; grandson, Griffin and Logan Weston, a brother, Willis Weston and his wife, Terrie, a sister, Marion Edgerly and her husband, Ronald, brother in-law and sister in-law, Marty and Barbara Martin, a sister in-law, Sis, an uncle, Don Weston, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James truly loved this country and proudly served as a submariner with the U.S. Navy. He loved his grandsons and enjoyed being their mentor. Being of a kind spirit James would do anything for his friends and neighbors. In his spare time James enjoyed wood working and working in his garden.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice. No flowers please.
