James Wilson Davis, 57 of Lynchburg passed away July 31, 2016. He was born December 21, 1958 and lived in Fluvanna County, Va. until age eleven, at which time he moved to England with his family. He was educated in boy’s prep schools there and graduated from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. It was there that James met and married Ely Darbandy. They have one son, James Alexander, who still lives in England, as does his mother.
James is also survived by his parents, James and Audrey Davis of Lynchburg, Va; a brother, Timothy Scott Davis, and his wife, Mary Ellen and their two sons, Henry and Harrison of Rochester, NY.
James attended Love and Truth Community Church where he was active in and passionate about the food bank. He enjoyed traveling and was avidly interested in the arts. He was a master picture framer and adored his friends in our art community.
A memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Love and Truth Community Church, 3135 Fort Ave Lynchburg, Va. 24501. Memorial contributions may be made to the food bank at the above mentioned church.
