Jane Ann Shakes Lovins

Jane Ann Shakes Lovins, 67, of Forest, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. She was the loving wife of Leonard Lovins, Jr.
Born on November 30, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Allen Frederick and Reba Hayden Shakes. She worked for seven years at Lynchburg General Hospital as the Oncology Unit Coordinator and was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. In addition to her work at the hospital, she had previously served as a church secretary and pianist. She had a personal strength that was admired and was a positive inspiration to all who knew her. She brought a smile to all she met.
As well as her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother, Gary Shakes.
In addition to her husband, Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory two children, Bruce Len Lovins and Sheryl Ann Roberts; her grandchildren, Daniel Roberts and Ryan Roberts; and her brother, Kevin Shakes.
The family like to give their special thanks to the caring staff of Lynchburg Hospital and the generous church members of the Mountain View United Methodist Church.
