Jane Young Richardson
Jane Young Richardson, 83, of Lynchburg died Sunday, June 6, 2010. She was born May 19, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late James Peter and Margaret Isabelle Dick Epright.
Jane is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, William Howard Richardson (Bill). In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Frank Whitehouse and her two beloved grandsons, Benjamin Record and William Bennett Whitehouse.
In compass with her husband\"™s ever-present humor, Jane loved a good laugh. She was a superb seamstress, proud of her Irish heritage and an immaculate homemaker. She was a skilled baker, whose pound cake was without rival. Jane was very proud to be counted amongst a long line of independent women, all strong persons in their own right, and doted on her grandchildren in whom she took great pride.
A celebration of Jane\"™s life will be conducted today, June 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. John Scholer officiating. The family will receive friends in the church narthex following the memorial service.
