Janet Elizabeth Lindsay Moore, 68 formerly of Lynchburg Virginia, died on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Parham Road Health and Rehab Center in Richmond, Virginia.
Born Monday, May 15, 1944 in Bedford, Virginia, She was the daughter of the late William Lindsay and the late Frances Powell Lindsay and granddaughter of the late John Mott Lindsay and the late Bessie Terry Lindsay of Bedford Virginia.
She was employed by Meriwether Godsey and a member of the Salvation Army.
Surviving are brother, Jim Lindsay and his wife, Linda of Monroe, VA, sisters, Nancy Powell Lindsay of Lynchburg, and Susan Virginia Lindsay of Bedford, A sister-in-law Sue Hopkins Lindsay of Richmond Virginia and three nephews; Bill Lindsay of Richmond, Virginia, Bob Lindsay and wife, Tina of Richmond, Virginia, and James Lindsay and Natasha of Willington, North Carolina
She was predeceased by brother, Opie David Lindsay.
Janet graduated from Bedford High School, in Bedford, Virginia. She earned a degree from The National Business College of Virginia, graduated from Ferrum College, and attended Radford College in Radford, Virginia.
All who knew Janet loved her kind spirit, easy going way and her love for animals. , Her hobbies included building dolls houses and collecting any kind of cat memorabilia.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory located in Lynchburg, The family will receive friends one hour prior at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Bedford.
