Janet Leigh Hardy

Janet Leigh Hardy, 56, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Lynchburg Health & Rehab. Born in Bedford, VA on Monday, July 11, 1955 a daughter of the late William David Hardy and Mary Nancy Hall Hardy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Neil Hardy.She loved participating in the Special Olympics, she enjoyed going to the Jaycee Day Camp. She loved food of all types, especially her sweet tea. She loved dancing and most of all she loved her family and her group home family.Janet is survived by two sisters, Gale H. Mitchell of Lynchburg and Jo Ann H. Cadiero and her husband, Gregg of Bedford; a brother, William D. Hardy, Jr. and his wife, Helen of Bedford; five nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann Markham and her husband, David, Kelly Goff and her husband, T.R., David Hardy, Aaron Cadiero and his wife, Randi and Meagan Hardy; 5 great-nieces & nephews, Jordan Elizabeth Markham, Chloe McNeely Goff, Jesse Woodrow Markham, Ashley Scott Goff and Memphis Eve Cadiero.The family would like to express great thanks to the Longwood Group Home Caregivers and Residents for their much needed support and care for their loved one. A Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Phillip Kelley officiating.
