Janet Sue Beyer Mooney

Janet Sue Beyer Mooney, 79, of Lynchburg, VA, died Friday, May 31, 2024.  

Janet was born February 6, 1945, in Belding, MI, a daughter of the late Ernest William Beyer and Helen Walsh Beyer.  She retired from Schewels Furniture Company where she worked for over 25 years.  

She is survived by her son Chuck Mooney and his wife, Terri of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Zach, Anna and Allie and great grandson Mason Byers.  Also surviving are her siblings, Dorisa Hamm, Mary Ann Galloway (Gordon), Judy Schafer (Fred), Bill Beyer (Judy), Joan Penn and Lynn Wedra (Chuck) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Sean Patrick Mooney, brother, Ron Beyer and brothers in law, Fred Towersey, Jim Penn and Jack Hamm.

A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at St Thomas More Catholic Church.  Inurnment will follow the service in St. Thomas More Catholic Church Columbarium. The family will greet friends following the service.
