Janet Wyant

d. April 3, 2018

Janet Elizabeth Wyant went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2018.

An angel here on earth is now free of the body and can be with us all in our hearts forever. Our beloved sister dedicated her time to caring for the elderly and those less fortunate, and always being there for family and friends in times of need and times or celebration.  She helped others without discrimination or judgment. She created beauty in her quilting, nourished others by gardening and canning, delivering meals and transportation services, and was an inspiration with her ability to focus on important tasks until they were done.

Janet is survived by her brother John Grubb and his Wife Deana Winslow of Charlottesville, Va., Christopher Grubb of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; niece, Madison Grubb; and nephew, Tyler Grubb of Ballston Spa, N.Y., brother, Paul Grubb and his wife, Amy Grubb; and nephew, Jordan Grubb of Charlottesville, Va.; and her niece, Jessica Cousino and husband, Noah; her grandniece, Lorelei and grandnephew Everett of St. Mary’s, Ga. Janet was preceded to heaven by her father Marvin Grubb, mother Loretta Poole, and her husband Steven Wyant along with other family members who she gave love and comfort to.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday April 12, 2018, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Va. A private burial for family will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Meals on Wheels of Greater Lynchburg, or a charity of your choice.
