Janice Loretta Houston, 67, departed her life at her home in Madison Heights with her husband Jerome Edward Houston, Sr. by her side on Monday, April 19, 2021.
Janice was a retired production worker for Tri Tech Labs and a member of First Baptist Church of Coolwell.
She was preceded in death by a son, De’Suan Steven Johnson, father, Robert F. Johnson and sister, Joyce Ann Woods.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Edward Houston; her mother; Dorothy J. Johnson; stepson; Jerome Edward Houston, Jr.; brothers, Ray (Joanie) Smith of Amherst, Stan Johnson of New Jersey; sister, Peggy Pettigrew of Concord; 13 nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends; special cousin, Joanne Ferguson; special friend ,Joyce Crider; brother-in-law, Willie Woods of Nelson County; sister-in- law, Barbara Glass of Fort Washington, Maryland; brother-in-law, Augustus (Lila) Houston of Baltimore, Maryland.
A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Duane Gregory officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, VA is assisting the family.
