Janie Campbell Hedrick

Jannie Mae Campbell Hedrick, 89, of Lynchburg departed this life Sunday August 25, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Grover R. Hedrick.

Jannie was born June 16, 1924 in Amherst a daughter of the late Jim Campbell and the late Estelle Johnson Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Hedrick of Rustburg, six grandchildren: Gordon and Mary McCraw, Tina and Brandon Ford, Melissa McCraw, Tony Lee Burns, Karen Pannell, and Brian Burns, two sisters, two brothers, 17 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and two special friends Dawn Woody and Jerry Wayne.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Jannie\"™s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 29, 2013 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Suitt officiating with interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service at the Hedrick residence.
