Janie Simpson Drumheller, 89 passed away at Summit Health & Rehabilitation in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was the beloved wife of the late Franklin Eugene Drumheller, Sr. who died in 1985.
Born May 11, 1922 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Nora Wade Simpson and the late Cassins Lee Simpson.
She is survived by two sons, Frank E. Drumheller, Jr. and wife Gloria of Troy, MI and Danny L. Drumheller and wife Sue of Amherst, Va.; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Phyllis Burks and her husband Glenn of Lynchburg. A devoted nephew Johny Roberts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly D. Harlow, who died in March 2008.
She was a retired employee of Lynchburg Training School and a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church.
