Jared Jacob Davis was born March 13, 1974, to Mrs. Joan Carolyn Davis and the late Junius Edward Davis. He is a son that is loved and will be missed.
Jared was number four of five siblings: Avery Williams (Ramona), Priscilla Wood, Julian Davis (Stephany), and Jay Davis. He is a brother that is loved and will be missed.
Jared was a loving and strong father and leaves to mourn his 3 children: Ashleigh Jadae’ Williams of Greensboro, NC, Jakayla Amirah Davis of Fort Bragg, NC, and Aiden Jacob Wright of Lynchburg, VA.
As a father, Jared made it a priority to provide and take care of his children. They were his heart and his purpose. Jared was also an honest and straightforward friend. He was highly opinionated and always ready to debate. Friends from Heritage High School, Delaware Tech College and all the courts in Lynchburg would call Jared a skilled basketball player and historian of the game. After graduating from Delaware Tech, he played in many tournaments throughout the city with his brothers Julian and Jay as teammates. Friends that grew up around him loved and respected him for the unapologetic & genuine person that he was. He was a decent & private man with a kind heart and smart wit.
Jared was tragically taken from us Sunday, March 6, 2022. In addition to his three children and family, Jared leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and a neighborhood in shock and disbelief.
The family would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences, phone calls, and words of kindness on behalf of Jared. Please keep his children and family in your prayers.
The family of Jared Jacob Davis will hold a meet and greet and receive guests on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home from 6pm to 7pm.
