Jason Wayne Overstreet

Jason Wayne Overstreet, 27, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011, at his home. He was born in Bedford, VA on September 11, 1984, a son of James \"Sonny\" Overstreet and Vickie Mitchell Overstreet. He was preceded in death by the late William Mark Mitchell, Vena B. Mitchell, James Robert Overstreet, Uncle Steve Allen Overstreet and Cousin Michelle Holland.

Jason was an avid Virginia Tech and Redskins fan. He loved Drag Racing and especially his Z28 Camaro.

He is survived by his parents James Sonny Overstreet and Vickie M. Overstreet. His Grandma, Louise C. Overstreet; sister, Ashley Carter and her husband, Andrew; brother Michael W. Overstreet and his wife, Lisa; two step sisters, Michele Elkwisk and Connie Overstreet Collins of Hopewell, VA; step brother, Kevin Overstreet of Stafford, VA; two very special Nephews, Jordan Wayne Carter and Jake Allen Carter. One special niece or nephew to be born Overstreet; One special friend/ caretaker Wendy Hanner. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many Friends.

A Celebration of Jason\"™s Life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ray T. Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Peaks Church & Community Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
