Jean Ann Powers

Jean Ann Powers passed away peacefully at Bedford Memorial Hospital surrounded by family on January 1, 2012. She is survived by her husband Larry Powers; two daughters, Jennifer Hemmerlein and husband Pat Godwin, and Charlotte Saunders and husband Sam; one son, Jon Hemmerlein and wife Kelli; two grandchildren, Abby Hemmerlein and Christopher Hemmerlein; mother, Mrs. Ronnie Urffer; sisters, Barbara, Carol, Gina, and Ronnie; mother-in-law, Nellie Powers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Johnny Powers; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Buchanan and his staff for everything they did for Jean. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford. Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel.
