Jean Arrington Paulette, 78, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was the wife of the late Millard Gray “Jerry” Paulette for 55 years.
Born Saturday, May 15, 1937 in Charlotte County, Jean was a daughter of the late Samuel Coleman Arrington and the late Addie Clifton Arrington.
Jean is survived by two sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Christine Arrington, eight nieces and nephews, Judy Capel (Randy), Al Arrington, Jim Arrington (Pam), Donna Snyder (Bob), Lisa Carrington, Sam Dickerson, Sharon Arrington, Jon Paulette , and a special companion and care giver, Deborah Logan Butler. Jean also had numerous great nieces and great nephews, one of which is her Godson, Jeremy Snyder.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Dickerson, and three brothers, James M. Arrington, T.R. Arrington, Murray Arrington, and a nephew, Marvin Grey Arrington.
Jean was full of life, joyful, with a great sense of humor. Her family and friends thought highly of her. Never having children, Jean’s life was devoted to her husband, her family and her lifelong service to C&P Telephone Company, retiring after 38 years.
The family will receive friends from to 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Rustburg Baptist Church. A celebration of Jean’s life will follow at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Rustburg Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery.
