Jean Craig Dudley

Jean “Granny Jean” Craig Dudley, 77, of Montvale, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. She was born on November 7, 1940. A daughter of the late Alvin Garland Craig and Susie Lorene Ragland Craig. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Kennedy.

Granny Jean loved her family and spending time with them. She also enjoyed her sewing and quilting. She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, John W. Dudley; five children, Charles Lee “Jr.” Kennedy and his wife, Donna, Mark Kennedy and fiancée, Barbara Williamson, Theresa Kennedy, Brandon Dudley and Jordan Dudley; seven grandchildren, Dreama Monahan, Zachery Mark Kennedy, Jeremiah Burleson, Dakota Kennedy, Donna Nester, Macy Nester, Samantha “Sam” Nester; five great-grandchildren, Julia Ashwell, Mckayla Ashwell and E.J. Shumate, Jaelyn Shumate and Hazel Sixbey; siblings, Martha Ann Armbrister, Joyce Natschke, Sue Lawrence, Sandra Hall, Glen Craig, Anita Simmons and Cindy Benson; also numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jean loved her four legged friends especially her three dogs, Princess, Mitzi and Cinnamon.

A funeral service and celebration of Granny Jean’s life will be conducted at 11:00 Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
