She was very proud of becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1951.
She was a member of Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta, VA. During her time at Smith Mountain Lake, she enjoyed the Newcomers Club and its many activities. She loved reading and tending a small garden space overlooking the lake.
Her greatest joys were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her later years, she loved making cookies, doing art projects, reading, & parading around the house with the little ones. Watching them in the lake and on boat rides brought many smiles.
