Jeanne Dewitt Holdren

Jeanne Mildred DeWitt Holdren, 87, of Bedford, VA, passed away on November 25, 2011 in Lawrenceville, VA. Jeanne was born in Bedford on March 10, 1924. She was the daughter of Ruth and Andrew Dewitt who preceded her in death as well as her husband Francis \"Buck\" Holdren, her brother Harry Camden, and her sister Hazel Smith.  

She is survived by her daughter Ruth Ann Holdren Epperson and husband Ray of Alberta, VA; son Michael Holdren and special friend Martine Schweitzer of Snellville, GA; grandchildren Karen Jones and husband Chris, Andy Epperson and wife Angie, all of Alberta, VA, Travis and Katherine Holdren of Snellville, GA.; great-grandchildren Krissy, Kassy and Colton Epperson of Alberta, VA.; and a special cousin Doris Stanley, of Bedford, VA.    

A celebration of Jeanne\"™s life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Davies officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
