Jeffrey Allen Keesecker

Jeffrey Allen Keesecker, 63, of Monroe died Tuesday August 16, 2011. He was the devoted husband of Eleanor Geneva Keesecker for over 30 years. He is also survived by his faithful four legged companion \"Mingy\".

Jeffrey was born January 30, 1948 in Martinsburg, WV a son of the late Homer and Alice Keesecker. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. Jeffrey was a gifted handyman but he especially enjoyed painting and was known affectionately as \"PePa\" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four children: Debbie Evans and husband Mike of Monroe, Billy Talbott and wife Pam of Powhatan, Karen Thompson and husband Bubba and Phillip Talbott all of Richmond, four sisters: Irene \"Sis\", Carol, Faye, and Sylvia, and one brother Scott, seven grandchildren: Jessica and husband Jeremiah, Nicki, Brittney, Haley, Hunter, Thomas, and Tiffany, and four great grandchildren: Brycen, Haven, Eastyn, and Chase.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters: Vickie, Rosie, and Eileen.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 18, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon August 19, 2011 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights with the Rev. Fred Williams officiating. Military Honors to be performed at the chapel.
