Jeffrey Lee Holdren, formerly of Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia, passed away in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He was 57 years old. Jeff is survived by Sarah Southerland, his significant other, and his two brothers Stephen and Michael Holdren and was predeceased by his parents, Be Bee and Barbara Holdren and his sister, Linda Sullivan.
After graduating from Ferrum College, Jeff worked as an insurance adjuster at Liberty Mutual in Richmond, then at New Land Jobs in Lynchburg for several years. Jeff enjoyed life, animals, nature, camping, fishing, horseback riding, conservation and photography. Jeff was diagnosed with MS and progressively declined.
The family is very grateful for the care received from Sarah Southerland, Lynchburg Sheriff Department Project Life Saver, New Century Hospice, and the Heartland Medical Care Center.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will take place at the Church of the Covenant at 4415 Boonsboro Road, Lynchburg, Va., on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.
The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Astride with Pride, Inc. in Bedford, Virginia or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
