Jennifer Lynn Hartman

Jennifer Hartman, age 50, of Goode, Va., passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Joel Hartman; parents, Gary and Myrl Moffat; children, Alyssa and John Davy, Bethany, Andrew, and Caleb Hartman; brothers, Gary and Tom Moffat.

She battled cancer for five years, throughout which she was a testimony of Jesus and source of encouragement to all those around her. She was born in California, graduated from Great Falls High School in Montana; she attended Trinity Bible College, and graduated from the College of Great Falls with a BA in mathematics. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and teacher.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Calvary Chapel of Lynchburg. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. All who knew her are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the missions fund at Calvary Chapel of Lynchburg, 742 Leesville Road, Lynchburg, Va., 24502.
