Jennifer Rhea Tyree

     Jennifer Rhea Tyree, of Forest, VA,  went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  She was the special daughter of Russell and Reba Tyree, who took special care of Jennifer for her whole life. 

     Jennifer was born on August 2, 1975, in Lynchburg, VA, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Her infectious smile lit up any room she was in. Jennifer was a strong person, who endured many hardships in life but she never let them get her down. She enjoyed listening to music, being around family, vacationing to places like Disney World and Nashville, TN, and riding around looking at the scenery. Jennifer was always a momma’s girl and could be heard saying “ma-ma.” Even though she could never walk and never talk here on Earth, she is certainly walking on the streets of gold now, completely healed and renewed. 

     She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jessie and Louise Tyree, and maternal grandparents, Hilton and Irene Mayhew. 

     In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by three brothers, Rusty Tyree, Jason Tyree (Denise), her triplet brother, Jonathan Tyree (Melanie), all of Forest; one triplet sister, Julie Currier, of Forest; three nieces, Ashley Smith, of Ohio, Hannah Shelton (Robbie), of Lynchburg, VA, and Lexi Tyree, of Forest; and four nephews, Logan Tyree (Amber), of Memphis, TN, Landon Tyree, of Forest, Dean Tyree, of Forest, and Tyler Thomas, of Charlottesville, VA. 

     The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to all of the people who helped them care for Jennifer all of these years.

     A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Pate Chapel, with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Amelia Veterans Cemetery.
