Jerry Lee Bagby
Jerry Lee Bagby, 70, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, March 04, 2010. He was the husband of Beverly Moon Bagby.
In addition to his spouse, he is survived by his children, Greg Bagby, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Edwina Landers and husband, Wade, of Moyock, NC, and Crystal Bagby, of Lynchburg, VA, his brother, Eugene Bagby , of Rockingham, NC, his sisters, Joyce Sherman and husband, Ralph, of Lynchburg, VA, Christine Dugger, Lynchburg, VA, brother-in-law, Harry Daniels of Lynchburg, sister-in-law, Dale Bagby, of Lynchburg and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Jerry was born Wednesday, June 21, 1939 in Campbell County, VA, a son of the late Samuel Pleasant Bagby and Annie Pearl Lee Bagby. He worked as a commercial artist. He was a loving individual who enjoyed the outdoors and animals. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his corvettes. He was a good friend to many and maintained those friendships over the years. He was a loving and supportive father, and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home . A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Manley officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park .
