Jessica Jolie Grosvalet, 29, of Lynchburg Virginia passed peacefully from this life the morning of September 10th after collapsing on the evening of July 23rd from unknown causes. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during that time.
Jessica was born in Mineola, NY on September 5, 1991. She was raised in Waldorf, MD and graduated High School from Grace Brethren Christian School in May 2009. Jessica studied at Daniels Institute of Massage and the Healing Arts and graduated with her certificate in Massage Therapy in January 2019. She worked at Body Works Day Spa & Salon, Lynchburg, VA, from 2018 to 2020.
Jessica was a loving and compassionate person who loved being silly. She had a signature smile and an infectious laugh that brightened everyone’s day. Jessica greatly loved and adored her children Michael Anthony Akowskey, aka Tony (8 yrs old), Scarlett Brie Akowskey (6 yrs old), and Emma Ann Hare (5 months). They were her world and she was so patient with them. When Jessica played with her children, she gave them her full attention and the expression on her face was pure joy. Most of all, she loved Jesus, her Savior, and had the desire to follow Him every day.
Jessica is survived by three children: Tony, Scarlett, and Emma. She is also survived by her mother Cynthia Horn and her husband Al Horn; , father Bryon Grosvalet, brothers Branden Grosvalet and Alfred Horn, sisters Julie Robinson, Claire and Marybeth Horn and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her second son Jackson Tyler Hare.
