Jessie Robert “Nut” Alexander, Jr., 53, of Lynchburg, VA departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father Jessie Alexander, Sr.
Jessie is survived by his loving mother Doris Bruce Alexander; son Andrew Easton; daughter Jasmine Goggin; three grandchildren James, Ahriyah, Harmony; two sisters Patricia Alexander and Sheila Alexander; nieces Regina Alexander and her son Jason Tucker, Jr. and daughter Zimeyia Alexander who was “Nut’s” buddy; nephew John Alexander; uncles John Bruce, Jr. (Hester), Harold Alexander (Lillie); aunts Rev. Eleanor McKinney, Annie Casey, Frances Coles, Mary Alexander; great-aunt Annie Rucker; a devoted friend Cynthia Brown and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
“Nut” was a faithful Dallas Cowboy and University of Virginia fan. The family would like to thank the staff of Pearson Cancer Center and UVA Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Lynchburg Tharp Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson will be officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
