Jewel Shortridge, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 after a long battle of suffering numerous strokes. The battle is now over and she is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is the wife of Arland Shortridge.
Born November 20, 1926, in Davy, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln Rose and Ellen Rose.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
In addition to her husband she is survived by; one son Eddie Shortridge and his wife Carol of Detroit, MI; one granddaughter and one great grandson; six sisters, Yvonne Cox, of Lynchburg, Janice Smith of Forest, Sandra Franklin and her husband Sidney of Forest, Carole Stitt and her husband Tracy of Lynchburg, Sharon K. Burkes of Goode, Gay Markus and her husband Danny of Princeton, WV; one brother James Rose and his wife Mona of Accokeek, Maryland: and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Living Water Ministries with the Rev. Mack Almond officiating.
