Among those friends were, Ave Connealy and her husband Denny. Ave was a close friend, companion and caregiver, particularly during these last days of her life. Another of these friends was Robin Roudin, her neighbor, companion, and supporter, who she considered to be another of her grandchildren. Her friends also included “the girls at Willowbrook,” who are Robin, Dee, Sharon, and Kathy; Shirley, Keith and Ashley Cox; Lloyd and Robbie Parker and their children. Of special note is the attention and caring she received from the maintenance crew at Willowbrook Apartments.
