Jewell Wise Davis
Jewell Wise Davis, 71, of Madison Heights and of St. Cloud, FL died Monday February 6, 2012. She was the devoted wife of Thelbert \"Bert\" Admiral Davis, Jr. for 53 years.
Jewell was born June 14, 1940 in Bedford County a daughter of the late Charles Massie Wise and the late Collins Zora Davis Wise. Jewell worked and retired from the Elks Lodge and was a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Mark W. Davis and wife Molinie of Phoenix, AZ; Dennis C. Davis and wife Maria of Leonardtown, MD; and Vickie L. Davis of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Charles M. Wise, Jr. of Manassas, three sisters: Jean Dillard of Raleigh, NC; Darlene Pitts of Lynchburg; and Penny Bryant of Amherst, and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: William \"Bill\" C. Wise and Emory D. Wise.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday February 10, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Saturday February 11, 2012 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
