Jiajah Melody Smalls, 12, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on June 14, 2022. She was the daughter of Tausha Wilson and Lamar Smalls.
Jiajah was born on June 12, 2010, in Sumter, South Carolina. She was a student at Dearington Elementary School and was excited to begin her middle school years at Linkhorne Middle School.
She enjoyed music, dancing, playing with her sisters, and adored the color purple and Tik Tok. She adored her little brother, Jahmir.
In addition to her loving parents, Jiajah is survived by her sisters, Keara Wilson, Kazyah Lloyd, and Lanaya Smalls; brothers, Jahmir Bennett, Jaion Lloyd, Kevontae Lammie, and Jayquan Wilson; step-brothers, Rayshad Parylow and Jordan Parylow; step-dad, Harold Bennet; grandparents, Mary Wilson, Annie Barnhill, and Willie Pugh; great grandmother, Carrie Pugh; aunts, Monessa Samuels; uncles, Randy Wilson, Alexander Junious, Willie Junious, and Rodney Person; cousins, Breyonna Bosier and Shakenna Hartfield; special friends, Roger Evan, Ashley Romeo, Tikisha Romeo, Shantia Rouse, Natasha Junious; and a host of loving family and friends in the community.
A celebration of life service will be held on June 24, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home with Rev. Mark McCoy officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. A repast will be held at New Dearington Church, 400 Smyth St. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
