Joan Marie Bruning Castellon

Joan Marie Bruning Castellon, 80, of Moneta, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Philip Henry Castellon.
Born December 20, 1934 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late, Walter S. Bruning and Katherine Sugrue Bruning. Joan was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
Joan is survived by her brother-in-laws, Joseph and Ralph Castellon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews on the Bruning family side from Maryland and the Castellon family side from Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Resurrection Catholic Church in Moneta with Rev. Salvador Anonuevo officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family request memorial contributions be made in Joan’s honor to Habitat for Humanity, 1701 Cleveland Ave., Roanoke, VA 24016.
