Joan Poole, 74 of Lynchburg transitioned this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her residence. Born May 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Ann Campbell Bell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Wanda Bell, and Isabell Burks.
Joan is survived by her two children Natasha Poole, and French Poole III; grandchildren, Dominique Noell, Jawan Noell and Quinci Poole; Great-grandchildren, Naim Saiyr Bryant, Ava Jade Noell; sisters, Dorothy Cook (Joseph), Carolyn Johnson (Odessa) and Valeria Jefferson (David); nephews, Alfred Dean Jr., Gary Bell, Herbert Lee Bell Antoine Bell; special Friends, Florence Howard, Alice Dawson, and other relatives and friends.
Joan enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, word searches, and puzzles. She adored her children and raising generations of kids.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday December 26, 2020 at Forest Hill Cemetery Lakeside Drive with Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson Jr. officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
