Jocelyne Moles Pendleton

Jocelyne Elizabeth Moles Pendleton, 79, of Moneta, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 4, 2013. She was the wife of the late Raymond Aubrey Pendleton.

 

Born May 8, 1934, in Moneta, Jocelyne was the daughter of the late Harles Hugh Moles and Augie Lemon Moles.

 

Jocelyne is survived by her two children: Michael Pendleton (Dee) and Sharon Heptinstall; two grandchildren: Misty Pendleton and B.J. Heptinstall; three step-great-grandchildren: Jadelynn, Michael, and Lil Abby; and one sister, Betty Peters (Jack); as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Jocelyne is predeceased by two sisters: Doris Jean Ransom and Zelma Shepherd; and one brother, Harles Moles.

 

Jocelyne served the community as a secretary for the Bedford County School system at Moneta Elementary. She loved quilting, embroidery, baking decorative cakes, and spending time in her garden. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 11 AM at the Moles\"™ Family Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in Moles\"™ Family Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road Roanoke, VA 24018.
