Joe Slade Woolard, 78 of Lynchburg, Va. passed away Sunday October 16, 2016 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at his daughter’s house 696 Leesville Rd. Lynchburg, Va. 24502 for all family and friends.
He was born January 1, 1938 to Theodore and Bernadette Woolard in Short Pump, VA. He enjoyed boating, fishing, trucks, landscaping, and family.
Survivors include his ex-wife Sandra Steele and her fiancé Kenny Reed, great friend of Joe’s of Forest, Va. his son Jeffery Slade Woolard and his wife Simone of Lynchburg, Va. his daughters Debby Woolard Markham Palmer of Deltona Florida, Tabitha Woolard Woody and her husband Jeff of Lynchburg, Va. Cheryl Fletcher Viar and her husband Ronnie of Forest Va., and Cindy Coffey and her fiancé Eric Croft of Bedford, Va. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren that love and adore him, as well as 11 great grandchildren. He also is survived by his 3 sisters, Barbara Hill, Edna Schaaf, and Joyce Carter all from Richmond, Va. and 1 brother, Bill Woolard of Va Beach, Va. as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and Brother Macon Woolard, his 1st ex-wife Lana Quinn, and their son Joe (Bubba) Woolard Jr.
