John C. Williams, 69, of Lynchburg received his victory crown after battling a long illness on Thursday May 23, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Born September 22, 1949, in Neenah, Wis., he was the son of the late Robert C. and Margret M. Sensenbrenner Williams.
He married Lynne (Cooper) on August 1, 1970 and from that marriage was graced with four sons: David (Tammy), Daniel (Holly), Adam and Mark (Sara). In addition to his wife and sons, he is also survived by ten grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and very special friends.
John retired from the Lane Company and worked part time at Ace Hardware.
A Victory celebration will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The family will receive guests from one-hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2940 Link Road Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
