John "Casey" Edward Casey

John “Casey” Edward Casey, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Johnny was born on September 24, 1937, to the late Edward “Pug” Henry Casey and Lucille Elizabeth Gilliam Casey. 

He spent over 40 plus years working for Merita Bakery as a route salesman smiling and whistling every day. Casey loved the old school NASCAR and on raceday you knew to leave him alone, no matter who you were. 

In addition to his parents, Casey is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Fifer Casey; beloved “Memamma” and “Medaddy”; Sister Laverne Drinkard; and great granddaughter, Madison.

He is survived by his children, Wanda Casey Padgett (Jr.) and Julieann Casey Garraghty (Randall); grandchildren, Jonathan “Bozo” Edward Casey (Ashlyn), Ashton “Missy” Noel King (Brandon), Kenneth, Ryan Garraghty, and John Wesley Garraghty; great-grandchildren, Rylinn, Everleigh, and Vannah; a very special honorary sister, Lynn Tomlin; niece, Michelle Fouty; nephew, David Drinkard; and “granddog, Barley.”

As per the wishes of Casey there will be no formal services.
