Mike supported his family as a carpenter and eventually started his own business restoring and building houses. Mike became a property manager for two shopping centers in Loudoun County and continued property management and restoration when he moved to Lynchburg in 2005.
He was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch, play, and coach. Mike enjoyed coaching his sons’ little league baseball, basketball, football, and soccer teams.
Mike and Jeanne began serving the Lord in 1983. Since that time, they have been radically changed by the Gospel. Mike became an Elder at Christ Fellowship Church in Purcellville, VA and led many small group bible studies in their home over the years. While at Christ Fellowship, Mike and Jeanne went on 4 mission trips to Columbia, South Africa, and twice to Peru. Mike was one of the founders of a Promise Keepers chapter in Loudon County and remained an avid supporter of Promise Keepers throughout his life. After their move to Lynchburg, Mike sang in the choir for 3 years at Thomas Road Baptist Church and became an Elder at All Peoples Church. It was through Passion that Mike became a licensed minister in the Church of God and served as the Care Pastor at Passion Community.
Mike's life was marked by the faithfulness of God. His life could be summed up for his love for God, his family, his church, his country, and his dogs.
