John B. Kazaitis, 83, of Mokena, Illinois passed away on August 22, 2024. He was the son of John and Bernice, and the husband of Cheryl for 61 years.
He was born on June 15, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his children, Kelly Gaba, Kris Vitiello (Dan), Kimberly Parmele (Rich); grandchildren, Ryan (Kerry), Daniel (Nora), DJ (Ashley), and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Jane and JT; sister, Jacquelyn; and many loving friends in the community. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Richie (Dorothy) and Kenny (Pat).
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He then pursued a career as a bindery foreman but his true joy lay in pursuing numerous side hustles that often ended up drawing in family members. A proud Lithuanian with a story for every occasion, he heartily enjoyed family, food and games of chance.
The family would like to say R.I.P. Big Lugan.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 11 AM at Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
