John Lennie Wilson, 84, of Appomattox, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, he was the husband of Patricia Jean Guill Wilson.
John was born September 20, 1931, in Randolph County, N.C., a son of the late Weldon Dock Wilson and the late Queen Victoria Henshaw Wilson-Lambe.
John proudly served our country as an officer in the army during the Korean War. He retired as a Captain with United Airlines. He also was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Appomattox, Va.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine W. Glose; a granddaughter, Jessica S. Lott; and a brother, Roy Wilson.
John’s survivors include his wife Patricia; three daughters, Cynthia Wilson Shebuski, Terry Lynn Hatcher and her husband, Mike, Kelly M. Bevins and her husband, Brian; one son, Henry Weldon Wilson and his wife, Jennifer; one sister, Gladys Trotter; one brother, Thomas Wilson and his wife, Jackie; 10 grandchildren, Ronald Shebuski, Neil Shebuski, Jack Wilson, Rachel Wilson, Kristin Moore, Ashley Ramsey, Matthew Ramsey, Victoria Bevins, Ian Hatcher, Alisha Bevins; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Manning and McKenzie Lee.
A celebration of John’s life will be conducted at a later date.
