John R. Scudder, III, 59, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2017. He was the son of John R. Scudder, Jr. and the late Mary Clayton Scudder.
In addition to his father, John is survived by two sisters, Cindy Scudder Freeman and Cathy Scudder Burke and her husband, David.
A celebration of John’s life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at First Christian Church with the Reverend Cyd Cowgill officiating. The family will receive visitors at a reception held at the church immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to either the Free Clinic of Central Virginia at 1016 Main Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504 or to First Christian Church at 3109 Rivermont Ave. Lynchburg, VA 24503.
