John Raymond Bohart, 67, of Forest, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. He was the loving husband of Cleta S. Bohart for forty-eight years.
John was born on February 26, 1947, in Holt County, Missouri to the late Raymond O. Bohart and the late Chrystal S. Bohart. He attended the University of Missouri where he received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1971. After finishing school, John began his working career at Babcock and Wilcox in 1971. While employed there, he acted as a Project Engineer, an Engineering Manager, and finally the Senior Vice President for Engineering and Plant Services. In 1994, John began working at Framatome, where he acted as President and CEO until his retirement in 2000.
John was a very spiritual man, and held several positions at Timberlake Christian Church including Chairman of Trustees, Chairman of Board, Church Elder, Treasurer, and other miscellaneous committees. He was called to join Thomas Road Baptist Church in 2010, and remained a member there until the end. His time at Thomas Road was considered the most Spiritual Days of his Life.
In addition to his beloved wife, John leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons: Russell John Bohart and his wife, Nora of Baltimore, Maryland, and Curtis Lane Bohart and his wife, Diana of Staunton, Virginia; and four grandchildren: Carter John Bohart and Madison Lynn Bohart, both of Baltimore, Maryland; Dalton Lane Bohart and Chloe Jane Bohart, both of Staunton, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Saturday, December 5, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomas Road Baptist Church’s New Pate Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
