John Raymond Soos, 91, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was the husband of the late Nancy Reed Soos.
John was born February 14, 1926 in Pocahontas, Va., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Soos. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired as laboratory technician with the Department of Agriculture. He is survived by his son, John Michael Soos and his wife, Cindy, of Huddleston.
A memorial service for John will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 8270 E. Lynchburg-Salem Turnpike (460 West) in Goode, with Pastor Don Rice officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd. Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
