Jonathan “Jonny” Ervin

Jonathan \"Jonny\" C. Ervin, 49, of Forest died Monday, February 27, 2012 at his home. He was born March 4, 1962 in Jackson, TN, the third born to James Allen Ervin and Rosemary Plunk Ervin. He graduated from Liberty University and Robert Fiance School of Hair Design in New York City. Jonathan enjoyed a successful career in the hair business for 28 years. Jonathan also enjoyed singing and performing, and was in several musicals at the old Lynchburg Fine Arts Center.

Jonny is survived by his son C. Shaun Ervin, parents Jimmy and Rose Ervin, one brother Mike (Amy), two sisters Pam Jackson (Walter) and Penny Clark (Pat), and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge with great appreciation Sandy Bradshaw and the other caregivers of Gentle Shepherd Hospice.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Global Ministries Fellowship, PO Box 1150, Cordova, TN 38088. All contributions will be sent to a missionary special to the Ervin family.

Visitation will be in the Pate Chapel at 11 AM, Friday, March 2, 2012 and a funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the worship center of Thomas Road Baptist Church, with Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Dr. Walter Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Andrews, Chris Kirby, John Kinttner, David Barstead, Austin Jackson, Mike Ervin and Curt Motsinger.
