Joe was a very hard working man who spent some time being self-employed and 26 years with VDOT. He enjoyed having his grandchildren and other children to come visit and showing them his animals and taking them for rides through his fields. Joe was also known for helping those in his neighborhood who were in need, just recently he helped several of his neighbors push their driveways after a recent snow storm. Everyone in the community knew Joe as a caring and dependable person he will be truly missed by all.

Joe was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 6, 1977, and remained a faithful servant for many years. Just like in his neighborhood, Joe was known in the congregation as one who did whatever he could to help anyone in need. He also had a willing spirit and would help out wherever he was needed in the congregation, even when he was not asked he would do what needed to be done. Even the young children in the congregation would look for Joe after the meeting for candy he would share with them. Joe also enjoyed spending time in his door to door ministry work. He knew many of the people he talked to and love telling them about God’s kingdom.

Joe knew no stranger he talked to everyone he met and even strangers quickly realized he was a caring, gentle kind man. All in the community and the congregation truly loved Joe and will miss his kind and caring spirit.
