Joseph Carson Campbell, 65, of Madison Heights died Tuesday October 18, 2011.
Joe was born April 26, 1946 in Amherst County a son of the late Robert Lee Campbell and Ada Sprouse Campbell of Madison Heights. Joe honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter Tracy Lynn Daniel and husband Richard of Monroe, three grandchildren: Brittany, Amanda, and Faith all of Monroe, three sisters: Daisy Hill and friend William Goodman of Lynchburg; Margaret Ellington and husband Ray of Madison Heights; and Kathy Tyree and husband David of Madison Heights, and a special friend and neighbor Donald Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday October 23, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights.
A Celebration of Joe\"™s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday October 24, 2011 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights with the Rev. Jack Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors to be performed by American Legion Post #16.
