Joseph Dean “Boe” Johnson, 39, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, December 02, 2017. He was the husband of Holly Johnson for two years.
Born Sunday, June 25, 1978 in Charlottesville, VA, Boe was a son of the late Elmer Kenneth “Buster” Staton and Carol and Tommy Wood.
In addition to his wife and parents, Boe is survived by his son, Dylan and his stepdaughter, Jaycee; siblings; Melisha Layne and husband, Chad, Homer Johnson and wife, Erin, Brandy Clark and husband, Robbie Dee Koelsch and husband Richard, Brandy Robertson, Frances Floyd, Willie Darbro, Bronson Wood, and a host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his father, Boe was preceded in death by two sisters, Leslie Darlene Staton and Kristy Staton Goodman; a brother Elmer Kenneth “Shorty” Wright; a nephew Christian Blake Clark; and his grandparents.
Boe was a fun, loving guy who loved working on cars, welding, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with his family.
A celebration of Boe’s life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at New Beginnings Pentecostal Holiness Church 737 Blue Ridge Ave. Bedford, with Adam Staton officiating.
