Joseph Kelly Cassidy, Jr.

Joseph Kelly Cassidy, Jr., age 40, of Lynchburg, VA departed this life on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Joe was born December 12, 1971 in Lynchburg, VA to his beloved father and mother, the late Joseph Kelly Cassidy, Sr. and Judith Kay Fitzgerald. Joe is the oldest of four children: his brother Joshua Daniel (36), Jacob Fitzgerald, (32) and Jessica Anne (32).

Joe was married to his best friend, Kristin, on November 8, 1997. They had three children, Corey Kelly (22), Victoria Elaine (11) and Joseph Morgan (8).

Joe graduated from Heritage High School in 1989, and went on to receive his CNA certification.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe, and his Aunt Janet Bates.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kristin; mother, Judith; parents-in-law, Jerry and Vicki Norberg; his children; siblings; Uncle Willis \"Buck\" and Aunt Nancy; 12 cousins, 2 nephews, 2 nieces, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, and his best friend, Robert Mitchell, who all love him dearly.

Services for Joe will be held at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church located at 5225 Fort Ave in Lynchburg at 3:00 pm on Thurs. Sept. 6. The family invites all to stand and share memories of Joe at the service.

 The family also invites all to attend a fellowship meal following the service at the church.
