Joseph Reed 82, of Monroe, VA, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 7:18 pm after agreeing to palliative care services for End Stage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the partner of the late Henry Stockley from Newark, NJ.
Born 2.25.37 in Philadelphia, Pa. Joe was the son of the late Walter Reed and Florine Slade.
In addition to his partner and parents, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings Wallace Reed, Catherine Covington, and Lela Herder.
Joe is survived by his nephews, nieces, and cousin, Betty Lou, Mia and Ty Reed, Rochelle Murphy, Dr Melvin Anthony, Michael Anthony, Catherine Anthony and Charles Anthony and eight Great nieces and nephews.
