Joseph Vincent Ruggiero

Joseph Vincent Ruggiero, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie Gertrude Ruggiero.

Joseph was born on January 27, 1932, in Manhattan, New York, a son of the late Gerardo Ruggiero and Carmela Puzzullo Ruggiero.

He is survived by two daughters: Christine Walsh (Sean) of Lynchburg, and Catherine Freidman of Forest, two sons: Michael Ruggiero and Joseph Ruggiero, two sisters: Patricia Gaffey (Donald) and Angelina Palmieri, two grandsons: Brian Walsh and Sean Walsh, and one great-grandchild: Damien Walsh.      

 A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Palm Beach, Florida.
